I'm 19 and I woke up with awful menstrual cramps (luckily it's my day off). I get them every single month and nothing helps unless I take 2 Advil at the first sign of cramping and continue to take it for at least 2 days until the cramps go away with my lighter flow. However, when I first wake up it takes the Advil a while to kick in. Today my parents are fighting and they're both screaming at me to clean my bathroom but I can barely walk without doubling over. I just hobbled downstairs to take the medicine. Is there anything besides a heating pad (ours broke) and medicine that could help severe menstrual cramps quicker?

Mild exercise, like walking, can help to relieve cramps. Also (sounds weird but works), having an orgasm, or two, can help to relieve cramps as well.
if 2 Advil is all it takes to get rid of your cramps I don't think they are as severe as you think they are. no pills work any faster since all pills have to be digested to start working. even prescription pain killers
