title: Daddy where are you?
A little girl left with no one by her side.
All of the countless tears she's cried.. is all she can recall.
Daddy where are you?
She isn't sure why she was left behind.
She doesn't know why she tried.
She tried to find him and bring him back.
Because it was a father that she lacked
Daddy where are you?
Now she is 16 an older age.
No more little girl that believed it was just a stage.
A stage in her life that would surely end.
Holes in her heart that would surely mend.
Although she is wiser beyond her years,
sometimes she can't help fight back the tears.
She still asks this same question over again.
Because she knows she can no longer pretend.
Pretend as though everything is alright.
Pretend as though she sleeps at night.
Daddy where are you?

OMG We who have suffered through parental neglect, abuse etc. have hearts that cry out with like tears! I wrote a poem so similar some years ago. I hope you gain peace and that writing is cathartic for you.
This poem is about an 8 over all and a 10 for being relatable. God bless you
I like the idea, and I can tell that some heart was put into it, but I do not like the poem in general. It is too generically written, and the rhyming bothers me. Too middle school level, as far as that goes.
Its a heart wrenching poem.... saying ALOT more than was actually stated. You have a talent. Beautiful work. Keep it up!
omg thats a great poem its wonderful and you should publish it that is the best poem ever. i love it
