You see on tv shows that Canadian people are so nice and apologize for everything. I know that's a stereotype but is Canada a nice place people wise? I know people die there duh but is it peaceful
We have crime here, but nothing like many US cities. Hell, there are some countries at war that are less dangerous than Detroit or Memphis. But just because we have low crime doesn't mean we have no crime. And I'm not talking about our major big cities (all six of them), I mean everywhere. I live in the suburbs of a textbook 'nice' city of moderate size. I'm not a tough guy, but most tough guys wouldn't mess with me. And there are plenty of places that I wouldn't wander around in at night. Because common sense.
That whole politeness and apologizing thing isn't exactly a myth, it's just a huge exaggeration. We have plenty of rude douche bags here in Canada.
Yes, Canada is a truly peaceful country in North American. I also had spent a great time there with my family and friends. This country offer to explore really great places for the fun.
Pretty much, yes. While we have almost as many guns as Americans, we don't shoot each other. We have never started a war. However, when we have to fight, we fight like demons, and we've never lost a war we have entered. But, afterwards, we just go back home.
I live in a place where many houses don't even have locks. I can't remember the last fight I saw. Probably 20 years ago, or more.
It isn't a perfect place, but, it is certainly one of the best.
In general, but Canada is huge. It might have more cultural diversity than the US. I guess it boils down to which part of Canada. I'm pretty sure the east is very different then the central and west. For example, a lot of people toward the east will speak French instead of English.
All that doesn't mean we lack violent domestic disputes, bar fights, some murders & occasional sports riots.
But we also have top-notch law enforcement like our iconic, Mounties - the World famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police - to keep our miscreants and rowdies in line.
Because peace needs to be protected if it's to be enjoyed. And defended to prevent anyone taking it.
Ironically, we're as good at war as we are at peace. We've never lost a war, ever.
And our military history is a depressingly long list of wars and more wars, which taught us the value of peace.
The stereotype is true to some extent. However, politeness is often is just a formality and there are times where common sense isn't applied when it should be.

As a Canadian who's been to 33 other nations in my life thus far, there's just no place like home. Literally.
But don't take my word for it. Google the headlines for details:
'Peaceful and welcoming society'
'Immigrants to Canada praise the country's peace'
'Canada tops global expats survey of best countries'

And all that's barely anything. Plus there's other things, like these examples:
A Canadian lawyer devised & drafted the UN's official Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
A Canadian diplomat invented NATO, which deterred Soviet aggression during the Cold War era.
Canadians also invented International Peacekeeping, adopted by the United Nations as official UN policy.
(And thus far, Canadian soldiers have participated in more UN peacekeeping missions than anyone else.)
(We also have the world's only national monument to peacekeeping.)
And Canadians invented this too, as a way for us as citizens to help spread peace at home and abroad:

Right now, you could walk into my house. My door is unlocked. Even when I go to sleep.
Now, to say that is because there are no guns in Canada have 3 different ones waiting for me to go hunting with.

Yes a lot more peaceful than the US
Well in all my years the only troublesome folks I've encountered are family-wise and it's a big country.
