I do not think he is a sociopath, but I believe he is a totally inept president with extremely strong ideological ideas. His "HOPE" is for a very strong central government that controls our lives to a greater extent. The magic word here is "control". His words regarding the rich against the poor and a "stronger middle class" are a lot of nonsense. What would inevitably happen is what happens in all other socialist countries: two classes--the very rich and the poor. Because government has a poor record for controlling the economy, taxation would necessarily be very high. All services would be reduced while government waste would increase.

I think a better argument for Bush can be made. What does it matter if Bush showed up to the massacre. It doesn't mean the man cares. The man is trying to repair is image as a good guy and great leader. And one must remember that the President is not the only one that is running the country. His lobbying groups,, and party members are implementing his policies when he is on vacation. Everything is being handled.
