I voted for Obama but after the first 60 days of this concocted stripping of America's future and money to his 4 trillion dollars of new spending, more than the entire 200 years of Federal spending combined, I would have to say that Obama failed miserably. So much so that I am embarrassed to let anyone know now that I voted for this clown. I want my vote back. The more I think about it the more I realize that McCain would have made a much better President. Then the guy I voted for seemed to forget the issues he campaigned on which were: 1) get us out of Iraq and now he said we are staying there indefinitely 2) Get us out of Afganistan (and now he said that we are staying in there indefinitely 3) Close down Gitmo (and now he said it will be open another 3 years minimum 4) no new taxes on people making below $250,000 ( and now I just got my tax bill and my taxes went up 3% 5) He wouldn't give away our sovereignty (and now he went to the g20 summit and now will allow other countries and the UN to dictate for the US government.....................etc.............etc.
Obama has been doing his job...what he is suppose to do within the first four months in office. Nothing changes overnight, not for him and not for anyone else. Obama has many difficult decisions to make, none of which will be resolved overnight. And, as with all Presidents, there will be some people who are unhappy with his decisions.
no hes not doing a good job for a few reasons. the biggest thing for me is the extremely large bailouts of cooperations. the beauty of American capitalism is that competition causes good companies to prosper and crappy companies to tank. when you start giving bailouts to failing companies its rewarding them for failing, and the rest of the country would be better off if only the successful companies could survive. he is doing a crazy amount of spending, has already spent a trillion dollars, but the worst is the crazy amount of expensive programs he is building that we will be paying for for years to come. health care and welfare does nothing but penalize the wealthy and reward the poor. if your poor you need to work harder and get a job, but if the government is giving you money you will be dependent on them and never rise from poverty. the governments job isnt to make life fair when it isnt, its not its job to spread the wealth like socialists, and its not to rescue those that have failed, and this is what Obama has turned it into.
Americans need to take responsibly for themselves, solve their own problems.
None of the things he talks about that sound good are ever put into action, like bringing the troops home from Iraq or making decent budget cuts, theres just too much spending, and he has too much power
...closing a perfectly good detainment camp (without any idea what to do with the terrorists)
...throwing money at companies which would have been better off declaring bankruptcy,
...sucking up to terrorists,
...creating a deficit that is the largest in history, which will likely more than double the debt in 10 years.
So, if destroying America on a variety of fronts is a good job...then he is starting off fabulous.
Candy...how many of his appointees have had to back out because they had ethical or legal baggage? And restoring our reputation? Sure. Even the terrorists are calling him inept, and he is sucking up to them. WTH are you thinking?
Yes, absolutely, in fact he is doing so well that our sworn enemies, and those who have been planning, and desiring our Nations downfall for years, are extremely happy with his job performance....

Well, if you count...
...closing a perfectly good detainment camp (without any idea what to do with the terrorists)
...throwing money at companies which would have been better off declaring bankruptcy,
...sucking up to terrorists,
...creating a deficit that is the largest in history, which will likely more than double the debt in 10 years.

Hey... wait a sec..... uh oh....
He's doing a good job of putting our children and grandchildren in perpetual poverty.
No. All he's done thus far is expand the policies he claims got us into our current bind. That would be okay if he hadn't promised to do the opposite.
So far, so good. I do think he is doing a good job.
Thus far I see no indication that he has done anything that would indicate he is doing a good job.
Democrats will say yes.
Republicans will say no.
64% of Americans approve of his job so far according to www.gallup.com
