The fact is that no president could have lead with a GOP that decided to obstruct before the 2008 election even took place. Republican politicians and their ilk have chosen to follow the policies Limbaugh, Fox, Norquist, and other far right ideologues chose for the GOP without regard to working with Obama and other Democrats for a better country. The largely bigoted republican base that watches filth like Fox has just compounded the problem because they repeat the baseless lies, distortions, and disinformation put out by the wingnuts in the right's media.
It's NOT about the color of the man's skin, it's about his well-intentioned but naive policies. It also wasn't that America wasn't ready for a Black president, it was that OBAMA wasn't ready to be president. He had NONE of the prerequisite experience that any other president has had. In a sense, he's a tragic figure. His charisma has allowed him to skate through life, giving him an inflated opinion of himself. He thought he could do it again here, surrounded by "yes men" who reinforced this notion.
No. That particular man wasn't ready for the Oval Office as first thing. The sane as President Carter.
He considered himself «smarter than the average bear», while in Russia and in the Middle East a "non white" US President was considered at lest "weak".
Obama's failure are self inflicted: Hubris in ancient Greek (ὕβρις) means extreme pride or self-confidence. When it offends the Gods of ancient Greece, it is usually punished.
