i have a long term boyfriend but before i got with him in feb i had a encounter with a guy who gave me chalymdia cut long story short i got treated then had sex with my long term bf i am with now

the test results still came bk positive so the doctor advised we both get treated which we did she gave us two tablets each and said to us to wait at least seven days before having sex again, she did say that if we couldnt abstain from it then we should use condoms, she also said that after we both took the medication that we had no reason to be retested as the treatment should of worked. anyway we took the treatment at the same time on a thur round bout 5pm and waited til the wed of the next week where we had protected sex with a condom we didnt touch each other and certainly didnt have oral sex. am i right in thinking that it would have been ok since the next day would have been the 7th day after treatment and there wouldnt have been a reinfection of chalymdia since 6 days had passed from the time we took treatment? would a matter of hours made a difference?
