Hempz and Burts Bee's is by far a favorite of mine! I struggle with chapped lips as well! A little trick of the trade. Put a little vegetable oil on your finger (rub it on your lips) then dip that same finger in some sugar (also rub onto the lips) the sugar will help slough off and exfoliate the dead skin! Vaseline is petroleum based and pore clogging it has no proven medical curing facts behind it! Burt's Bee's is available at most local drug stores or Health Food Stores and Hempz is located at Salons/Tanning Salons!
It seems like I always have chapped lips. I also used Smackers a lot, and Carmex, but it never seemed to do any good, like you were saying. Lately, I have been using Aveeno Essential Moisture Lip Conditioner. Basically Aveeno chapstick. I also have the bad habit of picking at my chapped lips but everytime I want to pick I instead put Aveeno on and miraculously, my lips look a hell of a lot better than they used to. You can find this chapstick at basically any skin care section.
1.Use some good lip balm frequently during the day.
2.Drink a lot of water.
3 .Dont pick on the chapped lips that will worsen your problems dont even lick it with your tongue to moisten it.
4Try putting some oil in your navel half n hour before you bathe(it works)
5 If still the problem is a more serious one, contact your doctor.
thats your problem there!! Lipsmacker......
get some real chapstick and limit your usage because I think that a lot of chapsticks actually dry your lips out even more to make you keep using and buying them!!!

If you decide against that for some reason then look for something with vitamin A & E most lip lrodcuts out there have some dirivative or alcohol that keep you addicted to it.
Something that moistens. Chap stick etc. are all wax etc.
Does nothing to mend just cover - guess like element protection
Avon sells a GREAT lip balm called DEW KISS. Your lips will stay moist all day. It's the best I've found so far.
Blisteze Relief Cream. I swear by the stuff, but if it's been going on for that long, why haven't you consulted your GP?

Just use the tried and true VASELINE, it comes in a tube for lips, but a tiny jar is just as good. CHEAP & it WORKS!
Good Luck!
good ole fashion vaseline!!
gently exfoliate your lips with an old toothbrush or specialised lip exfoliator, and then slather on the vaseline (i prefer the aloe vera -green- one)
hope this helps!
