Don't ask her to go out with you right away. Get to know her first through small talk and small get togethers. Don't think of dating as a goal for all relationships. Some people have the idea that when they meet someone they like, they should date them as soon as possible. Don't! Have fun, meet lots of friends, and save the drama for someone you really do like.

As for confidence, be yourself! Try challenging yourself to not think one negative thing throughout one day. If you can do that, try to do two days. Nothing's wrong with you, because you're the only you there is. :)

Find a female friend and ask her to be honest as to why women may not be finding you attractive. I would bet there is more to it than confidence.
