I answered this for you with my last response, but I'll do it again. As with before, I have given you the information as well as the tool to verify it if you don't believe me. This question has also been answered within the last three months on this very site by someone who actually was/is a PJ, apparently you're too lazy to do a search.
If you want to commit to something like Pararescue you shouldn't be against spending a half hour doing some reading on your own time instead of asking the same question a half dozen times on Yahoo, as if getting even more answers is going to somehow clear up your confusion.:
http://www.specialtactics.com/ubbthreads/ubbthread...
It's run by current and ex-PJs and the information is up to date.
Here it is again:
The people that voluntarily quit in Indoc are sent home, completely out of the Air Force. Period. This hasn't always been the case, but as a result of downsizing there just isn't enough room for them to be reclassed into a different AFSC.
The people that are injured or fail evals are set back to the next class, where they are given another chance. If they fail again, they will either be reclassed or discharged, depending on how the instructors feel about them.
EDIT
"As of 27 may 2010 all pararescue candidates signed a paper stating that if they self eliminate (i.e say "i quit" or fail the initial PAST test) they are going to be discharged."
"There is also the very visible (noticeable) few SIEed and for other reasons eliminated from training applicants who develop noticeable compatible attitudinal and behavioral differences they bring with them into the AFSC they are reclassified into as often the motivation to get a GTEP contract is to avoid getting classified into specialties like Security Forces, Services, and etc. "
I know Yukon has a weird way of typing, but basically, because of the high unemployment rate etc. people had been securing GTEP Pararescue contracts and then quitting on day one to be reclassed to another job which they couldn't get from their recruiter, among other reasons.
There was also other topics I have seen. I just keep up to date with the site, so it's sometimes hard to remember exactly where I saw something. Look through it on your own, there really is a lot of great info on there.
No I'm not a PJ, just a wannabe that has read a lot over the last few months while I've been training. "KJ" is a guy that answers some questions here on Yahoo, he really is a PJ, and he has also said all the things I posted. Again, just do a search.
As for your conflicting sources, the recruiter is probably well intentioned but to be honest they rarely know much about special tactics jobs beyond how to make them sound cool so you'll sign up. Depending on when the CCT went through he may have had a different experience. Plus, CCT doesn't have an Indoc, it has a 2 week orientation course followed by the beginning of the pipeline, so again... well intentioned, but he may not have had all the information about Pararescue specifically. And unless your friend is actually involved in special tactics, just being in the Air Force doesn't mean he knows a damn thing. He probably just wanted to sound knowledgeable/ encouraging/ stroking his own ego at your expense.
If you fail/drop out you will be re-classed into a different career field. IIRC, if you quit, they pick. If you can not keep up and fail to progress fast enough, they let you pick from a short list.
The problem is, these types of things change often, so one persons experiences might not be the same as yours.
Um....
Why don't you ask a recruiter? There are hundreds of them and you can find them in almost any town, on the internet and in the phone book.
