1. The Catechism spells out all the Church's teachings and how they are based on Scripture. It's very useful in keeping everybody on the same page about what Catholics believe.
2. To see that the Catechism doesn't contradict the Bible, all you have to do is read it. There are tons of footnotes pointing to the Scripture verses that support the teachings of the Catholic Church.
3. Catholics didn't delete any commandments at all. That's a protestant lie. We have a "short version" for memorizing, but Catholics cannot worship images, just like any other Christian.
The Catechism represents the unity of belief of all Catholics as opposed to the Protestants with their confusion of beliefs with 30,000 different sects each having some truth mixed with copious heresy. The Catechism is a written testimony that the Church is indeed the "pillar and foundation of the truth" as the Bible says. I have been a Catholic for almost two decades and in that time I have not been able to find even one contradiction in teaching to the Bible. Nor have I been a witness to anyone else who could find a contradiction to Scripture and successfully make a case for their accusation. What it comes down to is that these critics are just bearing false witness and committing a mortal sin as a result out of their pride in their man made religion and supporting their prejudice with their straw man accusations. Catholics have never deleted a Commandment in the Decalogue. God bless!

As for the 10 commandments, nothing has been changed. Our version of the commandments in the Bible are word for word the same as Protestants. The list, that many use, is just for memorization. Nothing was changed.

It was not deleted; it is included in the commandment to worship only God.

There's no rule that says one should be a Catholic to read its catechism. I would be surprised if the CC didn't want non Catholics to read it. It's simply a list of Catholic beliefs with explications and biblical references. The catechism is not required for Catholics.
As for the "deleted" commandment; others have answered. Lutherans sequence the commandments the same way as Catholics.
There are actually about 14 commandments in the 'ten' commandments. Its just that we condense them down into 'ten' based on thematic similarities. Keep in mind that the numbers were not determined until millenia after the commandments were given.

The commandments are the same, and if you read them, you'll find the exact same ones... we just call the Protestant 'second' commandment our 'third' commandment.
Absolute garbage. Catholicism strictly forbids the WORSHIP of images etc. It does not forbid the display of images of saints etc. - why should it? These are just to remind us of people who have lived profoundly good lives and who we should emulate.
Ask the protestants why they use a Bible that had the book of Maccabees removed in the 16th century by Luther (because it made indirect reference to purgatory which Luther did not like).
It's not just Catholics - I had catechism classes as an Anglican.
Catechism classes are where you learn about the Bible, and how it relates to modern life.
EVERY version of the Bible has been edited, and stories have been removed. The different versions are simply different sects of Christianity cherry-picking what they want to include.
