They are all hog-tied by the fact that before they can accomplish anything, they

must first gain and then hold office.

This prevents them from being straight-forward and honest with voters, since most

voters are entirely selfish and cannot be provided with the truth by anyone who is

serious about winning an election.

This should tell you that it is not political parties and candidates who are the

problem. It is the voters who they have to satisfy.

How would you like to have been poor Mitt Romney, trying to attract the

support of thoughtful, intelligent voters at the same time that he held onto

crazies like the Tea Party, Libertarians, and born-again Christians?
