Hostesses are paid minimum wage, and as far as I know are not included in the tip pool (which they shouldn't be, anyway). Bus boys and bartenders are tipped by the servers, which is appropriate.
Places that practice in including the host staff in the tip pool can and does make for unfair advantages, where a server can bribe a host/hostess to seat only certain types of customers in their sections. Furthermore a host/hostess wage can be negotiated lower if the management elects this policy as the base pay for someone who receives tips is usually lower, reason being part of your pay is paid out to you in cash at the end of your shift.
Ask the manager about this when you have your interview, and move on if host staff receives tips.
Probably around 5 dollars sweety I have no clue where cheddars is or what it might be but tips may or not be average to hearty on a good day, you shouldn't be too disappointed if u get/got the job
