Contemporary (1960's-present) Romance Novels?
I have to read a novel for my english class. it has to be contemporary which my teacher considers written after 1979 and the story must take place after 1960.
i've been searching some stuff on nicholas sparks and found the notebook and a walk to remember. would these count as contemporary? i'm bummed because i don't think these will :(.. what other novels could you recommend for me (similar to the ones above) for me to read that meet these criteria? i'm 18 years old. thanks!

Anything by Maeve Binchey started writing 1982
Most books by Danielle Steel but her 1st 4 were written pre 1979
Josephine Cox but some of heres are set in early 20th century
or even Jackie Collins although her first 6 or so were pre 1979
I believe Steel Cox and Collins are still producing books
My first concept to this question became "This Lullaby" by utilising Sarah Dessen becaust Dexter and Remy are purely super cute. :) Deb Caletti writes superb teen romances. i've got study "the character of Jade" and "Wild Roses" that are the two distinctly sturdy. i for my section enjoyed "the character of Jade" greater. that's a pair of woman named Jade who meets a guy named Julian (i think of? it rather is been a whilst) in any case, Julian has a son and the tale is approximately their relationship and such. it rather is superb. "Wild Roses" is a pair of musician's daughter who falls for a youthful violinist. i desire that this facilitates. :)
