contemporary solo song?
I'm 15 almost 16 and want a strong solo song. i do not want a typical love story type thing between two people i want a deeper meaning. Maybe a little rigid, or even Sonya Tayeh sounding. I want a strong background beat that you would dance to more if possible. All year i've said i wanted something strong and not "fluffy" but the song i have now is kind of in between and i can not decide. any suggestions would be great.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I like "Blackbird" by the Beatles. It's a bit soft, but it's beautiful and rich in meaning.
If you're really looking for something deep and strong, always turn to Broadway. Because Broadway will never let you down (as long as you can pull it off xD). Maybe "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl? It's tough but if you can do it, I'm sure it won't let you down.
