I'm doing P90x, and since a lot of it is strength training (about 4 days a week out of 6 is strength training.) Even though I know P90x works the way it is, I'm wondering if I'd see results faster if I ran 3 days a week on the days where I'm doing just some strength training, or would I be over training?

Hello,my thought is no.If your doing the P90x then your on the right path,I am doing personal boxing/martial art cardio and I do this training roughly about 2 hours long and Im 50 years old.And like me I started to see awsome results and I want to work harder in fact I started with 40 minute cardio now I started to look at the clock and notice Im having to much fun and time went by(2hours long).The reason why I say your doing the right thing and not more is that your body needs to relax,heal and repair but I will also say is that after your done working out you are continuingly losing calories(Afterburn effects)after 48 hours.My sugestion...
1)Keep P90x workout plan or something simular
2)Plenty of rest and eight hour sleep for muscle repair
3)Protien shake to replace lost nutrients
