okay i take concerta 56 and to day i took my pill but my friend took 3 of them from me wif out me knowing and then she was acting funny so i was wondering can u get high off of taking 3 concerta 56 pills

The 56 on your Concerta pills mean there's 56mg of the active ingredient, methylphenidate.168mg of Methylphenidate will definitely get you high (and might be dangerous), but because of the way the Concerta is designed, only a little bit of the medication gets released into your body at a time, so it is much harder to abuse. Unless she crushed and snorted the pills (which takes forever and is hard to do), she probably wasn't all that high. There aren't any obvious physical signs of Concerta abuse other than your hands shake a lot. The person will probably seem happier, more alert, have no appetite if you happen to be eating, and may be more outgoing. If your friend continues to abuse this medication please let her know she's taking way too much, enough to give her a heart attack, and that she should be a lot more careful.

If you take more of any medication than you are supposed to, you will get a high/low feeling. Or death in extreme cases. Taking Concerta will speed up your heart and make you feel like you had a few Red Bulls. Then you will crash from your "high" and feel like s h i t. It is also extremely addictive if you continue. Don't bother. You never want to mess w/ prescribed meds.
P.S. @ jja341...Way to suggest to someone you don't know to take extra pills. Certain peoples bodys' can react very bad to over medicating.
