I live in St. Louis. The range here is from $25-35 an hour. Most do not get benefits. Do NOT go into this solely for the money. You will burn out if you do, fast. I do it part time and I love it.
I would think the salary would be the same or slightly less than any other dental assistant. I say less, because this is not as demanding as other positions in the office. It is just as important, but you don't need as many skills as you might for surgery or restorative procedures.

Around 35 dollars an hour. If you work full time that is about 67000 dollars a year. Most usually only work 3 days a week. It is a very flexible job.
