i am 16 years old..and i had high blood pressure last time i went to the doctors. they said it just could have been nerves. back then my heart rate would get up in the 80s and 90s per minute...but i was just starting my birth control then. now my heart rate is 71 per minute.. is that normal?
and why did it all the sudden slow back down? could it only have been so fast in the beggining because my body was getting used to the new pills?

Anything from 60-100 is considered normal.
YEs it could have been just getting on birth control.. the same thing happened to me. I don't know if you are over Weight but that can also be a factor. I would say 50 to 70 is decent and not bad at all but over 70 you may want to work on some deep breathing to calm yourself or ask your doc. what he thinks about your birth control maybe you need to switch to a different kind.. if u r on the pill there are many different types
hope this helps
Normal heart rate is about 70 beats per minute but it depends on the individual
And yeah your high BP and pulse could have just been due to nerves so thats perhaps why pulse has slowed back down...
I doubt it was due to the pills...as far as i know they don't tend to affect pulse rate....
Hoep your keeping well though
71 is very normal. I can make mine go down 10 points if I concentrate on it. Yours will fluctuate during the day.
