Will we see a resurgence of welfare (thought almost dead under Clinton's workfare); will we watch our military collapse; will we see a decriminalization of drugs and easing of drug laws (as promised by Obama); will we see business taxed out of existence? What are these Americans voting for Obama thinking?
Update:look up Obama's speach on criminal justice reform and you will find his views on easing drug laws.
Update 3:I agree that Dark Ages is an ironic play on race but Icouldn't think of a politically correct way to say dark ages. Maybe under Obama we can change it to Obscure Ages. Thanks for the politically correct suggestion.

yup. If he wins we are screwed.
You must be be joking about the drug laws not needing tobe radically changed
The so-called war on drugs has been a miserable miserable failure that has done absolutely nothing to stop drug usage in America and has done a lot to:
Kill cops
Kill citizens
Destroy neighborhoods
Subvert the US Constitution
Increase the power of gangs
Fill prisons
Corrupt the legal system
Corrupt third world countries
And so on.
It's really simple Dude:If the cure kills a lot more people than the disease does then it's time to look for another cure
I think it's going to be much, much worse than most of us can imagine.
With all the talk of what he plans to do in the long term, I don't think anyone's looking at the obvious.
He knows all he has to do to "fix the economy", "balance the budget" and "change the world" can be done in one day with the elimination of the dollar and the introduction of the Amero, which has already been printed and is ready to put to use.

He nearly allowed this collapse of the dollar to take place when he hesitated to respond to the recent economic crisis, but the plan all along is to wait until he's in office so he can take credit for this "big fix".
With this one decision, world markets will collapse, all trade agreements will fall apart including NAFTA (something he's already said he'll rewrite) and the only people here that will be financially safe are those who invested in tangible commodities in foreign countries in Asia and Africa. Here in the states, no one's savings, retirement funds, investments, etc. will be worth anything and we will indeed see a change here and in Europe, the likes of which this country hasn't known since the Great Depression of the 30's.

His introduction of his "civilian security force" will become necessary as people refuse to accept the Amero for pennies on their dollar. Military spending will come to grinding halt in order to cover the cost of the CSF and the organizers of this group (research Jamillah Muhammad) have been working to build its infrastructure since the early 90's. If anyone thinks that what went on at the Urban Community Leadership Academy is a rarity, think again.

So, that's the short version of the new "New Deal". Take it or leave it will be the only answer we get from an Obama Administration.
There is much, much more and I'm sure the Obama supporters will say it's all just conspiracy and trash talk but the facts are facts and they're all out there for anyone to research. Eventually it's all going to come about regardless of who wins this election, but if Obama gets in, I have no doubt it's going to happen in the next four years.
Yes, we are going to have problems. I think Obama is running his campaign on what people want to hear - regardless of how attainable the goals are.
Our economy is such bad shape and he wants to raise taxes (yeah, I know only one the rich - but since it's the rich that are already covering most of the tax bill, doesn't seem quite far, huh? FYI: I'm not rich, but I do taxes)
I'm most concerned about our military. We go about our business on a daily basis in the country without a clue as to all the bad things out there. I like it that way. The military keeps it that way. I don't want to worry constantly about every threat out there. We take it for granted. We don't see the threats as real because they don't affect our daily lives. I'm very happy for our CIA, FBI, NSA & the military. If Obama cuts off their funding things could change.
I keep reminding myself that the president has limited power and won't be able to single handedly destroy the country. I hope.
Seems like a definite possibility.
For those of you claiming Bush ruined the ecomony, think about this. We have a system of checks and balances in our government, correct? This insures that the President cannot just do whatever he wants to do. The Congress or Senate has to approve. Both of these parties are PRIMARILY DEMOCRAT. So how are the Democrats not just as as to blame as he is? They are. You people really need to get that through your heads. What about Clinton? He promised to lower taxes, and he gave us the biggest tax hike we've ever seen. Not to mention he turned the White House into a whore house. Yet you STILL don't see him in the wrong? Never have I seen someone so closed-minded.
I dislike Obama. Not because of his color, but because he just scares me. He lies way too much, and hides too much from the American people. The fact that he won't even say our pledge of allegiance, and does not honor our flag is what takes the cake for me. Why would we want someone who doesn't love our country, run it?
We're already in the Dark Ages, and have been for the last 8 years under Bush, Jr. using actuarial tables, McCain has a 1 in 3 chance of surviving his first term if he gets elected President. If he kicks the bucket, you will REALLY know what "Dark Ages" means under a Palin presidency. This ignoramus is supposedly a Christian Dominionist and a creationist, i.e., believes that dinosaurs roamed Earth 4,000 years ago. I can't imagine Palin facing down the President of Iran, the insane "emperor" of North Korea, or the Russian Prime Minister with a KGB background. I can, however, imagine her attempting to legislate her brand of manufactured Christian morality on the secular public. THAT is DARK. What in the world was McCain THINKING?
"God" save America if Palin ever becomes the "Leader of the Free World." Shiver and cringe!
Excellent question! Unfortunately you will probably get stupid answers from the Obama side. They have had help like nobody since the invention of television. The Obama people. The press is determined to make Barack Hussein Obama the Affirmative action president. I don't no why he did not take the money as all other people running for president did. He certainly didn't need the money with the liberal press giving all the atention he needed free. this election reminds me of the movie Total Recall. Inject the people and get it over with.
yes if someone with an muslam type name is put in office we are screwed. besides as long as we got idiot groups like the kkk and groups that are based towards the superiority of a race or gender. then no woman or different race person will be safe in office. is there anything wrong with a woman or a different race president. of course not. u got indians still on reservations and some blacks wanting compensation for the slave era. as long as there are racial groups and equality groups and ppl scared of things just cause they sound like they are related to some ethnic group then no we arent ready for an obama or hilary to be in the big chair
No quite the opposite
New American Renaissance
The climate in America has become stagnant in that there's been a decrease in our actual culture. Education has been watered down dumbed. Americans have become soft-ists to the point of a complacency. Industry in only a shadow of what it once was. Jobs are being shipped over seas at even increasing rates. The majority of jobs available fall into either the technical sales or service industries. In a way economically speaking its like selling air there's no true value as you would have in a industrial economy.
The idea is to invest in the people. Obama is asking the elite wealthy of the country who has been so good to them to contribute just a bit more 3% not as a punishment but a patriotic act. Obama proposals or plan is to invest in the people by redistributing a small portion of wealth to the youth the future of America. Investing in education, infrastructure, science and technology. Investing in small business creation leveling the playing field. Simply making small farmers capable of competing in the food markets. Obama's plan will create a whole new renaissance in America
To create a new era of enlightenment as such is a renaissance you must start with the youth. By improving the elementary level of education and making it available to ALL Americans will flood our universities thus creating the era of knowledge and arts. Arts in an area severely diminished in our currant nationalism seen in political polls on where we are headed as a country. Our currant education system is an embarrassment when compared to other developed countries. Music has seen a huge decline. When I was a kid it was a popular idea to grow up to be a scientist. You just don't hear that from kids today. We need to excite the young in these areas.
I had observed many striking similarities between FDR and Barak Obama. Obama's plan most resembles to me the New Deal of Roosevelt. Roosevelt saw in the international bankers and cooperation's the inherit evil, the greed and corruption that caused the Great Depression. Occasional capitalism needs to be tempered with some beneficial social policies. This I feel is one of these times.
Roosevelt spoke:
"Throughout the nation men and women, forgotten in the political philosophy of the Government, look to us here for guidance and for more equitable opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth… I pledge you, I pledge myself to a new deal for the American people… This is more than a political campaign. It is a call to arms”
Yes with his economic plans you will see the destruction of the small business which I might add EMPLOYS the majority of the people in this Country. You will also see our energy prices skyrocket which will trickle down onto everything else the consumer buys. Expect the welfare rolls to grow immensley, our Government growing into making this Country a total "Nanny State", the loss of our freedoms and liberties, and the total destruction of "The American Dream".
Gee, do you think we might be in a dark age under George W. Bush with a deregulated banking/lending system and stock market? Think we might be in a dark ages with a housing/foreclosure bubble, bank failures, and a stock market crash? Think we might be in a dark ages under a president who supported an unfounded war that cost tens of thousands of lives (not to mention injuries) and hundreds of billions of dollars? Think we might be in a dark ages under a president who spent us from a surplus into a multi-billion dollar deficit? Think we might be in for 4 more years of dark ages under a President McCain who supported Bush's policies over 90% under the time? (And his immoral, inept VP Sarah Palin, a 72 year-old's heartbeat away from the presidency? What are these Americans voting for McCain thinking?
