I like this quote of his, though:
"“...the Bible is probably the most genocidal book in the literary canon.”
― Noam Chomsky
Noam Chomsky Communist
Noam Chomsky is not a marxist/communist. I think that many older people got this idea about him based on their ignorance of what socialism really is. Noam Chomsky is a libertarian socialist. Chomsky is closer to an Anarcho Syndicalist. It saddens me that so many people are ignorant of Noam Chomsky. This man has advocated for people to be free of authoritarian rule, and dictatorships and is against Capitalism run amok. He is the leading top intellectualist of the world. The person who posted this question should watch "Manufacturing consent" or read one or two of Noam Chomskys books. You will quickly see his is not a marxist/communist.
Believe it or not many people around the world who are not Communists are critical of the Israeli government, the following is a direct quote from Noam Chomsky;
"Personally I'm very much opposed to Hamas' policies in almost every respect. However, we should recognize that the policies of Hamas are more forthcoming and more conducive to a peaceful settlement than those of the United States or Israel. So to repeat: the policies, in my view, are unacceptable, but preferable to the policies of the United States and Israel."
Hardly what most would call "support"
Why is it that the right wing have to label anyone who has criticized American foreign policy, such as the Vietnam and Iraq War or their total support for Israel a Communist.
It is a fact that the Israeli government have refused to let five million Palestinian refugees, who fled the wars, permission to return to their homes. They operate a form of apartheid and continue to steal land from the Palestinians against all international laws.
In addition they are building the biggest prison camp in the world, Upon completion, the barrier's total length will be approximately 700 kilometres (430 mi). which will severely restricts Palestinians who live nearby, particularly their ability to travel freely within the West Bank, including to and from the lands on which their subsistence depends, and to access work in Israel, thereby keeping these people in poverty.
Do not take my word for it, check out the Jewish websites below, run by Jews who like all sane people in the world see that there will never be peace in Israel until the Israeli government start giving the Palestinian people the same human rights as they expect themselves.
Thinking like this does not make someone a Communist or Socialist, just a person who believes in the human rights of all the people in the world, which is an opinion shared by many Jewish people including Mr Chomsky.
Would be difficult to imagine a Communist Jew. No, he is not. In fact he is a liberal. He is a well known professor of philosophy and linguistics at MIT. I suspect having a PhD and being very intelligent is reason enough for Conservatives to hate him.
Sad that you think when a person exercises their First Amendment rights they are a Commie. You are wrong. He does not support any terrorist groups. Unless you consider they USA government such.

What the heck is a "Libertarian Socialist?" Sounds like someone with a split personality, or schizofrenia!
Definitely a contradiction of terms.
He claims to be a libertarian or anarch-syndicalist. You mistake his criticism for hate. There is a difference. He is ethnically Ashkenazy Jew.
How sad. You inflict on others, what you yourself have no wish to endure.

''Talks between six world powers and Iran conducted in Geneva this week reflect international concern about the danger of nuclear weapons proliferation in the volatile Middle East. Rarely discussed amid the concern over Iran's nuclear intentions is the unacknowledged but widely accepted reality that there has been a nuclear weapons state in the Middle East for decades. Israel has long hewed to a policy of nuclear opacity — known as amimut in Hebrew — neither confirming nor denying the existence of a substantial nuclear arsenal. While the U.S. and its allies largely refrain from talking publicly about Israel’s program, Iran often cites it as an instance of what it decries as a Western double standard.

'U S refuses to recognize the election of Nicolas Maduro as president of Venezuela. This, unfortunately, has become the norm in international affairs: the U.S. standing alone, or occasionally with Israel, Saudia Arabia or Great Britain. Like a bully in a schoolyard, the U.S. whines, demanding that it get its way or else.Or else. In this case, Or else could turn ominous for the people of Venezuela. They remember all too well that the U.S. instigated a coup that temporarily deposed the late Hugo Chavez, Maduro’s predecessor, in 2002. In the eleven years since, Washington has continued to fund opponents of the revolution and foment strikes, demonstrations and general unrest.Such interference is the pattern of U.S. foreign policy. Profits of investors are preeminent and any person or movement seeking to take control of resources for the popular good is branded an enemy and treated as such. The following examples are just the tip of the imperial iceberg:
