I could care less about the affair, but the hypocrisy of John Edwards has been an issue for me for several years. He is not what he pretends to be and this only adds to the evidence of that. My guess is that he still wants to be considered for VP and understands ala Bill Clinton that you can admit the obvious as if you were being candid in the first place.
I'm sure Elizabeth and their kids care. She has already had enough pain in her life. This explains quite a lot of things in regards to that family.
I always thought he looked and acted too much like a Kennedy to ever take him seriously as a candidate. Perhaps he is not the father, but the fact that he said it was the child's birthdate that proved he WASN'T the father would indicate that not only did he have an affair, he had unprotected sex. Unbelievably stupid in every way.
I think it's very funny that the Liberal Main Stream media is giving him a pass on this (typical). I also think it's funny that his name is no longer even mentioned as a V.P. choice. I find it highly amusing that so many people on Y/A think that because the Enquirer broke the story it's not true- when the Drudge Report and Fox also reported it. But the big 3 ignore it. Proves the Liberal bias theory. I feel really sorry for his wife and kids- they don't deserve this! Lastly, I find the people here who answer with "I don't cares" tend to be the Obama fans-democrats- who have no morals at all.

It makes me sick....and I care extremely. his poor wife is sitting at home dying, while he's out having an affair with another woman for years. he's a lying dog. and another thing that bothers me is the way he was talking about how much he loved his wife.....if you LOVE someone the last thing you do is go out and have an affair with another woman. he makes me sick, and i feel for his beautiful wife and children who have to watch this be spread all over the news.

John Edwards is the guy who has made a political career of saying how honorable he is and what a great family man he is..
The guy's wife is very sick and has been suffering with Cancer for years.
Still, she went on the road, with him, to help him try to win the Democratic nomination.
All the while he was lying to us and cheating and betraying his wife and family.
