Hi everyone! I've been dieting and exercising for the last two months in hopes of getting a six pack by summer time (optimally around July or August.) I lost about 9 lbs so far in two and a half months. So far my diet has just been keeping my daily calorie consumption under 1600 calories and doing cardio and weights daily. My friend told me to completely cut out carbs and to limit it to less than 50g a day. This seems impossible. All i eat everyday is two boiled eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch, about a cup of grapes, blueberries and apples inbetween meals and salmon with quinoa and assorted veggies for dinner with milk. Somehow when I used "Myfitness" app on my iphone it said I ate over 200g of carbs! How is this possible? I know quinoa has a lot of carbs but 200g seems high. My question is:
What is a good meal plan with low carbs and are eating a lot of fruits bad? Also is it possible to get a six pack by July or August (3-4 months)? I am at about 16% body fat right now (started at 23%). Thanks so much!

with low carb you are basically avoiding sugar and starchy thigns like pasta and potatoes. Fruit has a lot of carbs which is probably where u are getting most of them. Any kind of fruit juice or sugary drink is going to be high in carbs.
To be honest I don't really like a low carb diet. It is extremely hard to maintain and its easy to become deficient in certain things like potassium if you don't know what to expect. The worst part is that if you cheat / slip up even one time it can take up to three days before you get into ketosis again. I like your diet better, and have had much more success with the type that you are on.

You need to do **** loads of cardio. It's the only way to burn off the fat. Just don't eat much fatty foods or carbs and eat more protein. Also eating more smaller meals help cos for some reason you eat less in 5 small meals than in 3 larger ones.
Pick up a copy of The Abs Diet. Bright orange covered book. Its a 6-Week plan. You won't feel like you're be deprived of food, you'll be eating a ton of food. It works, I've done it and its almost effortless. Just some pre-planning is all.
Broccoli with butter.
Vegetables with cheese.
Burger meat and vegetables.
Basically, where you normally have quinoa and maybe some vegetables, replace the quinoa with butter or cheese.
As for whether you'll have a six pack, I mean, it really depends on if you have abs under there, lol, you might just have a flat stomach.
If you're trying to cut belly fat I do suggest HIIT training in the morning Before breakfast, you will see serious results doing that.

Just try to intake more grains/nuts in conjunction with those complex carbs.
Nutritionists say eating lots of fruits are good for you, but try to eat the fruits that have low sugar content such as lemons and limes.
Was about to post this question too this morning
