I met a wonderful women last December (she is a few years older, I'm 21), and was introduced to a relationship with Christ because of her (Born again Christian Dec. 30th 2012). My father owns a bar (which I work at) and coworkers are making fun of me behind my back about me going to church on Sundays. What really bothers me is my father is creaming he wants me out of his house, that I am an embaressment to him (I dont drink, drug free "lifetime", and am almost done with college) you would think he should be proud. He is embarresed I think because I dotn fit into the crowd he hangs around with. I would rather spend my free time in the gym, studying the bible, or with one I love but he thinks I'm giving up all the fun in my life (drinking, different women everynight)

Hello there! Sounds like you are a very nice young man and I would be proud to have a son who didn't like those things your father does. I'am raising my children to follow the bible principles laid out for us by the one true god Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18) Unfortunately believers of Jehovah and followers of Jesus.would come under much persecution for their beliefs. Please read this scripture. (Matthew 10:34-39) There you go a perfect example of what you are going through. If you continue doing what you are doing you just may win him over without a word just by you conduct. Give it time. In the meantime please stay on your course and continue to learn what the bible really teaches and that will continue to bring you joy. Jehovah's Witnesses offer free home bible studies to earnestly try and help those who really want to know more about the bible. The site listed below will help you to set up a free home bible study in your own home or a place convenient for you. I truly hope you will take the opportunity. It would be our pleasure to help you further! Take Care!

Wow, dad needs to grow up. A person doesn't have to be just like him to have his respect. You might have to tell him, 'Dude, grow up, I'm not you.'
