First, what are the major differences in the study of phenomenology and epistemology? They both seem to overlap from what I have read.
Second, Is the major argument of materialism v. idealism an argument that belongs to phenomenology, or epistemology, neither, or both?
I have read that phenomenology is defined as the belief that all things are rooted in conscious human thought, rather than as objects outside of thought. Isn't that what idealism is?
