westminster consumer services?
Is this for real?? Got check in the mail , called the bank it is a good account and it will clear, it is drawn on an account owned by PURDUE (the chicken people). But when I call the phone to activaite , all I get is voice mail. Anyone else hear of this?
Update:I contacted Purdue and it is a scam. If anyone gets this contact the legal company on the check. The bad guys really thinkg that they are smart.

No - it is not for real. I received the same "scam" in the mail from Perdue. I looked up Westminster Consumer Services (they have no website - weird) and the only thing I found was a page on "The Rip-Off Report" saying this is a scam, they have used other company names besides just Perdue. I contacted Perdue Farms and they also confirmed it is a scam - and they are taking action against the company - and asked that I send them a copy of the letter and check.
I have yet to find out exactly what the scam is - but I am guessing it is somewhere along the lines of attempting to get your personal and bank account information. I imagine they would ask for this info if you get in contact with them via the phone number they provided.
Hope this helps. I would suggest contacting Perdue as well, I am sure they could use all the help they can get in shutting these scam artists down. I contacted their customer service via their website.
