Anyways, before I Asked what a med-surgical nurse is, but i gues s that's different than a surgical nurse...
oye, but anyways- I'll be applying to college this upcoming week, and I've been debating whether to go into Speech Pathology or nursing. I know that both are like...completely different professions, but I highly enjoy working with people. I did a volunteer program at a hospital over the summer, and I really enjoyed the hospital setting...
Anyways, I was just wondering what surgical nurses do (please be specific!)
Arighty well, anything would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Surgical nurses generally work in the operating room assisting the Surgeon during the surgery. They are responsible for assuring that the patient has been properly prepped for the surgery, all equipment and surgical tools are available that may be needed for the surgery, and does follow up post operatively.. A really good surgical nurse can anticipate the needs of the surgeon and have the next required surgical implement ready before the surgeon asks for it.
