I was in a drama club once. We wrote, directed and starred in our own 5 minute skits. I did one called "How not to act when Dad's boss comes to dinner." We also learned about facial expressions, body language, voice projection, vocal accents, and enunciating.
One of may favorite things we did was have three people start a random scene. A fourth person yelled "Cut!" and then replaced one person in the scene in the exact position that they were in at the freeze. It's really fun if the person you replaced was doing something silly like crawling on the floor. Then the person who left the scene yells "Action!" and they start a new scene from the old positions, with the new person starting it off.
When it's the day to audition for drama club, be afraid!
Have no confidence in yourself.
Even if you are upset because you didn't make it last year, just remember- you have experience trying out now!
When it's not your turn to audition, flash at the director.
If you're not going to be in the drama club, you're never going to need to be comfortable on the stage.
Smiling and speaking loudly are both bad ways to show that you're uncomfortable and are likely to have a panic attack during a performance, which is something that most directors prefer to occur.
When you audition, try to move around a little bit.
No matter how tiny the area that you are given to work with is, you always look better if you can demonstrate some basic knowledge of blocking (a stage term for where you stand/move).
When you are finished, stand up wonky, frown angrily (often, saying something like 'Whatever', etc.
looks very gracious and also as though you're an inexperienced actor/actress.
Tips
--------------------------------
Try to speak clearly to the director when you audition.
Stand up straight!
Having good posture makes your body as well as your face look better.
Even if you have no confidence in yourself whatsoever, at least pretend like you do.
You're an actress/actor anyway, remember?
Put that talent to work!
If you bust sing, remember to warm up your voice first and drink plenty of water before
I took drama this year and I rele enjoyed it. all we basically did was played games, i know it sounds stupid but its rele fun. I was shy at the beginning of the year and now I talk to everyone like they were my own family. We made plays together and learned how to help each other out. Drama class doesnt just help you act but helps you practice your social skills.:)

I went to one once, usually 3 - 5 kids teh same kids keep getting up and practicing skits, maybe comedy bits such as improv
afterwards all the kids cry becuase it is so funny
and one time some jock was walking by, saw kids tearing and said ......woe what a drama club ...hence the name
but really its just acting
dont let the name fool you
