Businesses will of course make adjustments when their costs go up. Sometimes layoffs, price hikes, etc.

Most business are still small businesses in this country. Their profit margins are very small so a small increase in costs can directly impact their bottom line.

The amount of work it takes to run a business is enormous. It is not a 9 to 5 job. So why should they not make money so that can enjoy the small amount of time they do have?

To be a doctor in the US it takes small fortune to pay for college, not to mention the insane hours become a doctor. So telling someone that has 200,000 dollars in college loans and does not start actually making money until they are in their 30's that they now must take a pay cut is what I call inequality.

Why are libs stupid enough to think that you can actually tax the corporations?

So lets think a bit here. If the corporations are taxed more, will they willingly reduce their profit or pass the tax onto the consumer???

Take Economics. The profit point is based upon competition. All taxes that apply equally across an area of commerce do not affect the profits, they just affect the price. The price is the price that WE pay.

And BTW, given the number and amount of taxes we currently pay, I am of the opinion that if the government cannot do its job with all the money the taxpayers give them, then perhaps they need to tighten their own belt, not have me tighten my belt more.

In fact, it literally sickens me to see the fat-cats in Congress talking about taking more money from my pocket so that they can "help" me. I need a jar of vaseline to prepare for their "help" and they don't even have the common courtesy to give a reach around.

That's a strawman. The argument against increased taxes isn't that ALL businesses will disappear. It's that when you increase taxes, businesses will respond by increasing prices, cutting production (increasing unemployment), cutting staff and getting to a minimal workforce to cut costs (increasing unemployment), shift production overseas to avoid taxes (increasing employment and vastly decreasing taxable revenue), etc. Liberals interfere with the free market, and then complain when businesses take remedial action, and then liberals criticize capitalism as being the problem, when in fact it was government intervention that caused the layoffs. That's why we've gotten more and more unemployment and more businesses going overseas. When you have burdensome regulations and interference in the markets, you drive capital into other, saner states. And hence it becomes more efficient and more cost-effective to move production to China, have all the work done there, and ship it back here. That is cheaper than to simply stay in the U.S. And as a result, we have chronically high unemployment.

The solution isn't more government controls.

It's more freedom in the markets.

It's not enough for a business to 'make a profit'. It's necessary to make 'enough' of a profit to legitimize the investment of the business owners' capital.

If a business can't make a certain amount of profit, its investors may decide that there are other, more lucrative investments to put their money in--overseas business, for example. A company does not have to be going out of business or be in the red to be hurt by taxes and bureaucracy.

All this about a doctor driving a late-model Mercedes? What is it with you libs and wealth envy? Can you honestly say that physician didn't EARN the money to pay for the benz him/herself? Not to mention that physician worked his/her A55 off to get through med school, internship, residency, fellowship and then FINALLY opening his/her practice

Raising taxes on business always results in increased costs for the consumer...in other words, more corporate tax = more tax on the poor.

Clinton's retroactive tax increases caused business to decline, resulting in the Clinton recession.

DATA shows higher tax-rates DO deliver higher unemployment, lower productivity, smaller economies and yes, LESS REVENUE to the Treasury. YOU are literally 100% certain THAT is exactly what conservatives "claim" but you address " ALL BUSINESSES ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS" INSTEAD of what we ACTUALLY say.

Doctors HAVE BEEN dropping out of the Medicare and Medicaid networks due to decreasing reimbursement rates. Literally ALL of the non-retarded expect MORE to do so if the rates are reduced MORE. YOU chose NOT to address that UNIVERSALLY known fact, but instead "THEY'RE ALL GOING OUT OF BUSINESS," which NO ONE has EVER claimed.

Expatriation DID INCREASE during Clinton's first two years. NO ONE EVER said "all the rich people" would do anything but THAT is what you chose to address.

What YOU proved about YOURSELF is that you are absolutely CERTAIN you cannot dispute nor rebut ANY conservative "talking point."
