Why do Democrats think Republicans support NAFTA?
Republicans had always opposed NAFTA. Plus, NAFTA was signed by Bill Clinton.

In the voting counts, Democrats OVERWHELMINGLY support NAFTA, while Republicans OVERWHELMINGLY were against NAFTA.

For the record, I don't think NAFTA was as good as its supporters said it would be, nor as bad as its opponents said it would be.
Because they support the republican politicians that wrote that crap.

132 yes votes from the GOP vs. 43 that voted no. On the democrat side 102 yes - 155 no.
That means if only the democrats voted it would have failed.... that is NOT overwhelming support in my opinion.
It was the GOP that made Nafta. Own up to it.
NAFTA killed American jobs by sending them to other countries.
