A few years back I worked for a company. the elkhart truth. I think I had a 401k plan with them but I cant remember for sure. How do I find out if I have any existing 401k plans, I have had a lot of jobs in the past. I would like to cash out any 401k plan from a previous employer to pay off debts. I am aware of the taxes and penalties and am not interested in a rollover ira. I just want to know how to find out what 401ks I have out there and how to access them.
Update:As I have already stated. I am aware of the fees. I know about the 40%. I dont know the company that manages the 401k. so do i just need to contact the elkhart truth and ask them? and then contact the 401k company to take the money out?

Just contact your former employer to find out.
Where are your financial statements from the company managing the 401k? All you can do is call the companies HR person and ask who is administering the 401k. You do realize if you withdraw the money you pay penalties and taxes could add up to 40% of the amount
First contact the company you used to work for to get the name and account number of the 401k.
Once you have that information, you can contact the company that is holding your 401k and ask them to send you a check.
I think it close down
