My boyfriend (who is two years older than I am) is always biting me and leaving hickies on me. I'm 17 and I am trying to get a job but I think the marks on my neck are making my applications and interviews go through the shredder. I have asked him to stop biting me and leaving marks on me but he just gets this determined look on his face and leaves another hicky on my neck or stomach or both. Any advice, he has never hit me and never called me a name (other than playing and teasing each other which we do a lot) I am not looking for answers like dump him because he is a sweet guy and he loves me I see it. I just want to know why he is always biting me.

My ex was like that. He said something once about so guys knew I was taken, so I assume it's just a mark of being possessive without being aggressive about it. Maybe tell him hickies are fine as long as you are able to cover them so that you are able to get a job. Lower shoulders, or the stomach like he was doing. Though the fact he won't listen to you is odd in the fact that he should respect your wishes. Good luck.
Ask him to leave marks where they won't show. That's what my man and I do. I love leaving my mark, but if his mom saw she would have a cow, despite the fact she knows we are active. So I leave them where they are easily covered by clothing. Just ask him to not mark your neck. He probably is insistent because he really enjoys leaving marks.
Its an easy solution all around.
Funny you say he's a sweet guy but can't respect the fact that youre trying to get a job. It's on you to allow it to keep happening without putting your foot down. I don't think you need us to answer that.
Um, well 17 year olds aren't exactly what people are looking for when they hire new people for jobs. If you have blemishes...cover them up with makeup if you are self conscience about it.
He's not respecting your boundaries. He doesn't love you.
