When I used pads I used to go through about 4-5 in 24 hours....
If you find that is not enough and you use over 8-10 then you either need a more absorbent pad or you may change earlier than others probably do. If you have a really heavy flow you may benefit from a doctors consult as you can get anaemic from too much blood loss each month.
usually 3-5. dont be a freak and change it like every 2 hours. it wastes money cuz youre going through them so quickly. pads can actually hold quite a lot. if you're at school and dont want to go to the bathroom 4 times a day to change your pad, only change every 4-5 hours.
It is very personal and depends from the volume of your period - in general you should change your pad every 3-4 hours (during first1-3 days) and rare for other days - read below about menstrual products and more .......
The doctor told me to always change my pad every 4 hours--even at night. She said it will help so you don't get an infection. Don't be worried about using too many, its fine. :-)

Mine isn't usually heavy, so I usually change about 6 times....
But it depends on the flow.
It's better to use more and stay clean...

It depends on the woman and how heavy her cycle is.
For me i change 3 times a day with mines on.
some more than others and it's just the way the body works for some womans!
i use tampons on heavy days, but pads on lighter days. and when i do that i change about 4 times a day.
Mine is super heavy, so I change EVERY HOUR, so over 12 a day
