yes, some birth control pills work very well at relieving cramps. you won't know if you need a pap until you talk to your doctor. if it seems like a minor problem, your dr. will probably just prescribe the pills to you. if you need a pap smear, they can be somewhat uncomfortable, but it will hurt if that's the first time anything's going in there... trying not to be explicit :)
Along with taking the painkillers, also get a heating pad, either electrical or a bean bag to heat up in the microwave, and place it once it's warm over your lower stomach and upper thighs. Sometimes placing it on your lower back helps too. Warmth will generally help most of the cramps, but if the heating pad and painkillers don't work, ask for a foot massage. There are pressure points in your feet that when massaged help alleviate and reduce your cramps. And of course, chocolate always works (at least it does for me).
I know some girls say that sex is a great massage for cramps, but I'm not sure if you're sexually active yet, so that one is up to you.
Birth control does not stop menstrual Cramps it help to regulate your mensa cycle.. Just take some pain killer and relax every moment u get and after like 2to 3 days u should start to feel better
