I am interested in going through the SARC pipeline after a couple of years with a Marine division. My question is even though SARCs work with Marine Recon, do they still stay true to their NAVY roots? Although I will be working with Marines if I make it through the pipeline, I'm a sailor regardless and want to stay loyal to the NAVY ethos. Hopefully I don't sound ignorant. All I'm looking for is some advice. Thanks.

SARCs don't just work with marines
a sarc is a member of a force recon unit, exactly the same as the marines are
they all receive the exact same training and do the same jobs
you are a member of force recon first, a corpsmen second
SARC's can be team leaders in force recon, and run the team they are on
basiclly your gonna be a marine, the time you spend as a sarc
After joining the marines and completing your contract (which will in no case be a couple years-all contracts are 8 years, with 4+ being active duty), you will be considered prior service when enlisting in the Navy for SARC and will likely not get in. They aren't really taking prior service now (not saying they won't be later). If you want to be a Navy SARC, then don't join the Marines. Join the Navy. It's that simple.
