I shipped an item and it was insured and it was damaged. UPS looked at the package and stated that it was improper packaged yet when they sent it back they improperly packaged it. I want to know where do I address a court summons to sue. Even if you say I can't sue I want an address please.

The fine print is quite solid for UPS. To be "properly" packaged, the item must have 4 inches of packing around all sides of it. If you don't do that, then the insurance is void.
If they shipped it back to you in a different package, you might be able to argue that they damaged it. (I have seen stuff shipped to us with tire marks on the packages)
At any rate, you could just bug them enough and they might refund you.
Just remember that any money you take from them closes the case, removing any further appeals.
I don't know what state you're in, so I can only tell you how to look up this information.
1. Go to the website for your state's Secretary of State. Look for a corporations bureau or some other part of that website dealing with corporations. If you can't find one easily, look for something like a "commissioner of corporations".
2. There will be a searchable index on that website for corporations registered to do business in your state. Look for UPS, also known as United Parcel Service.
3. One of the things that must be listed and which can be found publicly in all states is the corporation's "agent for service of process." This is the person who is to receive the summons and complaint when the corporation is sued.
4. When you file your lawsuit, one of the forms the court clerk will give you is the summons. You must serve the original, stamped summons on UPS's agent for service of process along with the complaint. If you cannot easily get to the city where the agent is, you can hire an attorney service to do it for you. That will cost between thirty to fifty dollars, and that cost is something you can get back in the judgment if you win at trial.
Good luck with your lawsuit.
What state are you in. Every state requires that every company that does business in that state appoint a agent for just this reason.
But here is there corporate address:
UPS Corporate Headquarters
55 Glenlake Parkway, NE
Atlanta , GA 30328
Just for the record you have no case. They are under no obligation to take better care of the item than you did.
You file a case against them in the local Small Claims Court in your county of jurisdiction. Did you file a claim for damages with them? You should file it anyway. Do you have the actual package?
Check with the Secretary of State of the state where you live. They should maintain a "registered agent". Serve the registered agent with the summons.
