I was just curious is there a point in getting a minor? I want to become a teacher and also a physical therapist. If I major in physical therapy, but minor in teaching, would I be able to some point in my life possibly be employed with both occupations? Does a minor allow you to become qualified in that area you decide to get a minor in, or is it solely to look good on resumes, etc?
I just was basically wondering what the point of minoring in an area is. And if I choose to do so, will I be able to work in the field I minor in?

About jack and sh*t.
Some students will prepare for their intended career with their major, while pursuing personal interests with a minor. Other students pursue a minor to provide specific specialization and thus make themselves more attractive to employers. For example, secondary education teachers often major in their subject area, as history or chemistry or mathematics, and minor in education.
